Cebu-based entrepreneurs will have another co-working space available for their use, this time in the heart of uptown Cebu City.

The iioffice co-working space just held its grand launch last July 29, 2016 in the second floor, Arinda V. Paras Bldg. Don Gil Garcia Street, Cebu City. The newly opened site has various facilities, including a large kitchen, bar counters, refrigerators, conference rooms, focusing rooms, a printer, a phone, and coffee. Although food is not served at iioffice, customers are free to use the kitchen and refrigerators.

“iioffice is a place where you can focus on your business and get things done while relaxing or having fun at the same time,” said iioffice founder Seito Horiguchi. A co-working space is a flexible space where entrepreneurs and startups can work together in a common and a shared environment.

“What we offer is not just a place to work but a sense of community. iioffice is a space where people exchange information, and collaborate with each other for their projects,” said Horiguchi. Various events are set to be held in iioffice, including the HTML Cebu#2nd lightning talk meetup for developers on August 17.

According to Horiguchi, the opening of co-working spaces across the world has been driven by the rise of start-ups, the greater numbers of millennials in the work force, and the trend toward self-employment.

“Co-working spaces are part of the ICT revolution which has transformed the way work and business are done. iioffice makes Cebu a part of this global trend,” he said.

Horiguchi is also the president, a front-end-developer, and coding trainer at LIG Philippines Inc. He has worked for 3 years in LIG Japan and has earned the “Design Awards Asia DOTD” and won “Startup Weekend Bohol” in 2015-2016.

Monthly membership with iioffice is at Php 5,000 and is inclusive of free WIFI, complimentary refreshments, unlimited visits, and unlimited meeting room usage. Meanwhile drop-ins are at Php 500 good for one day with free WIFI and complimentary refreshments.
