WebGeek confab set Nov. 16

WebGeek letterheadALL is set for the WebGeek Conference 2013 on Saturday (Nov. 16) at the Meralco Multi-Purpose Hall in Ortigas Center in Manila.

This was announced by lead organizer Michael Marin who is inviting software developers from the Visayas and Mindanao regions to attend the one-day conference which also features an App Expo this year.

“If you’re a developer, you should attend the WebGeek Conference,” Marin said. “The conference brings together Filipino developers, makers, futurists and chief technology officers (CTOs) to explore and discuss the future of software.”

Various topics have been lined up for discussion during the event, including software engineering discipline, technology stack, engineering culture, and software development trends.

According to Marin, at least 20 of the country’s top developers, engineers, architects, R&D experts, and CTOs have been tapped as speakers and panelists in this year’s gathering.

Exciting and cutting-edge products are likewise expected to be showcased in the App Expo, wherein the demonstrations will be made by the developers themselves.

“This is an event where software developers can talk with their peers, share their best practices and tricks while having fun with a bottle of beer in their hands,” Marin added.
