THE streets of Bacolod erupted in majestic colors and delightful revelry for the Masskara 2011 celebration made more exciting with the active participation of Globe Telecom.
Thousands of hard-core Globe Prepaid partyphile subscribers from Bacolod, Manila and nearby provinces packed the Flow Superclub Bacolod for the two-night exclusive “DON’T STOP THE PARTY” event.
Pumped up with youth energy, the young party people who came in droves to the Globe Prepaid party hardly left the multiple dance floors, loving every mix of DJ Virus, Jam Masta, DJ Nina, DJ Sonny Abad, DJ Owki, DJ AJ, DJ Rae Valdez and DJ Scarmixxed.
Globe made entrance to “DON’T STOP THE PARTY” very easy for the party-goers. They just had to buy a Globe Prepaid SIM for P20.00 and topped it up with P130.00 load to get in. Existing Globe Prepaid subscribers loaded their phones with P150 in order to get a ticket. This also entitles them to an instant welcome drink to the party.
Most of the “Don’t Stop the Party” guests came in colorful costumes in keeping with the Masskara tradition.
“It is in Western Visayas where the Globe Campus Connect project is strongest. The Campus Connect is a huge Globe project which aims to unite the students of the different colleges and universities all over the country. With the massive youth support we are getting here for the Globe Campus connect, we feel that it is only perfect to treat our youth in Bacolod with a one-of-kind party experience as they celebrate the MassKara festival. Through this party, Globe wants to express its sincerest thanks to the young people of Bacolod for their tremendous support,” says KD Dizon, Head of Globe Prepaid.
“Globe is honored to be a part of the Masskara Festival, a festival that displays Bacoleños’ resiliency and survival skills despite the adversities of the times. The festival was an opportune time for us to be able to give back to the people of Bacolod. We have kept thousands of Masskara revelers in the festive mood, upping the ante with various streetdance competitions, and clubbing experience. From start to finish, Masskara 2011 was a dazzling spectacle which showcased the Bacoleños’ inimitable talent and flair, winning raves from visitors all over. Globe, with its exciting parties, activities, and special offers, made the Masskara experience more unforgettable for all,” said Tanya Padilla, regional Sales Head for Total West Visayas.
For the first time in 32 years, the Masskara street dancers grooved and jumped to the beat of live original music, composed, scored, arranged and performed by Bacolod’s local musical talents.
The festival theme was “Celebrating the New Icons of Bacolod” in recognition of the new landmarks, institutions and personalities that have dramatically changed Bacolod from a city reeling from challenges to one that is vibrant and booming.
