Cayetano asked to look into corruption in LGUs

Amid exposes of multi-billion scandals at the national level, a Cebu business leader has asked Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano to also look into corruption in local government unit as this hinders the growth in the different areas of our country.

Robert Go, CEO of Prince Warehouse Club (PWC) and director of the Philippine Retailers Association Cebu Chapter, posed the question even as Sen. Cayetano engaged members of the Cebu media during the PWC 8th Sari-Sari Store Festival press conference.

Cayetano to unveil 2013 Sari-Sari Store Festival

PRINCE Warehouse Club will open its annual Sari-Sari Store Festival tomorrow morning (July 20) with guest of honor Sen. Allan Peter Cayetano cutting the ceremonial ribbon at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) in Mandaue City.

Cayetano, who is arriving from Manila early tomorrow in time for the opening, will be joined by Cebu Gov.

Annual Sari-Sari Store Fests — linking with grassroots


The Prince Warehouse Club (PWC) has developed a huge network of sari-sari stores -- small, retail businesses owned by micro-entrepreneurs in urban poor communities and middle class subdivisions -- in Metro Cebu. These stores serve as links from big suppliers and the wholesalers to the end consumers.
Sari-sari in the vernacular means 'variety' and these small retail outlets sell canned goods and Instant noodle packs along with non-food items like detergent powder, shampoo and toothpaste in sachets.
