Globe Telecom sustains leadership in digital transformation

The launch of the 7^th Globe Media Excellence Awards 2019 sustains and further strengthens Globe Telecom’s relationship with the media community in the Visayas and Mindanao as it maintains its digital leadership.

GMEA again celebrates and promotes press freedom by recognizing media practitioners who excelled in their field of work.

Globe Telecom launched GMEA in 2012 in Cebu and Davao. Through the years, GMEA continued to expand the area covered and the number of awards.

Social Impact

This year, the goal involved influencing conversations especially online to achieve social impact. GMEA 2019 entries are anchored towards four sustainable focus areas, namely, care for the environment, positive societal impact, innate care for people, and the digital nation.

Last June 2019, Globe Telecom officially opens the Globe Media Excellence Awards with PRWorks Inc. in the Visayas and Mindanao through reconnecting with the media through the media rounds. This year’s media rounds started in Cebu City and continuing to different key cites in the Visayas and Mindanao, such as Bacolod, Iloilo, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, and Zamboanga.

The increasing number of digital awards in GMEA 2019 manifests Globe Telecom’s leadership as Visayas and Mindanao accelerates towards digital transformation.

The Globe Media Excellence Awards 2019 Night will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 6 p.m. in the evening.
