Nominees from 4 urban centers bared
The Awards Night of the Globe Media Excellence Awards (GMEA) Mindanao has been reset to December 3, 2015 at the SMX Convention Center even as a total of 58 entries were shortlisted for various categories of the most anticipated premier award-giving body that recognizes excellence in journalism in the Visayas and Mindanao.

The Awards  Night for the Visayas leg transpired last September 24, 2015 at the Cebu Grand Convention Center.

Canadian pop idol Justin Bieber and British soccer superstar David Beckham visited Tacloban. They talked with people in evacuation centers. Justin sang and played basketball with the kids.

The Globe Telecom network operations team has initiated service restoration process in areas affected by Typhoon Ruby and will be going out for field work starting today (December 8, 2014).
