TYPE “Tentay” and “Cebu” as you search Google and the first page is practically a list of links to blog posts by different Cebu bloggers and stories in Sun.Star Cebu and The Freeman on the return of Tentay Patis to Cebu. This developed days after Tentay Food Sauces Inc. held a media launch of its various sauce products in this central Philippine city.

Tentay president and chief executive officer Velia Javier-Cruz told reporters gathered at the plush Pino Restaurant that the “comeback” of the Tentay brand in Cebu was a product of the company’s extensive efforts in improving the quality of their products.

For Javier-Cruz, the reentry to the Cebu market also marks Tentay’s foray into the wider Visayas and Mindanao market. Filipinos definitely love to pair their favorite dishes with sauces and Tentay is now offering them a wider variety of sauce options.

The warm welcome discriminating Cebuanos gave Tentay augurs well for the company’s thrust into central and southern Philippines, observes PRworks Inc. managing director Doris Mongaya.
