Globe Media Excellence Awards 2015
We uploaded the nine winning entries of the 4th Globe Media Excellence Awards (GMEA) Visayas ranging from print, radio, television to social media. These are products of outstanding journalists and social media practitioners — exemplary work in bringing most relevant social issues to the fore through the different channels of print, broadcast and digital media.
The GMEA Visayas finals at the Grand Convention Center of Cebu last September 24, 2015 was doubly meaningful as it coincided with celebrations of the Cebu Press Freedom Week.
“As Globe strives to be at the forefront of the Filipino digital lifestyle and as we ensure that our customers are ready to face the future, we hope that together with media professionals and social media practitioners, who take on relevant social issues, that we can all contribute in effecting meaningful transformation in our society for a more wonderful Philippines,” Globe Senior Vice President for Corporate Communications Yoly Crisanto said.
The nine winning media contents were selected from a total of 688 entries this year compared with 522 last year. Entries were from various media organizations in Cebu, Bacolod and Iloilo.
But have you actually read, watched, or listened to their work? Did at least one made you grasp more firmly the various social issues investigated? Did at least one moved you to actually do something? Have you savored the nine media contents judged as the best in the Visayas in 2015?
Perhaps, journalists and social media advocates might want to enjoy the winning entries of colleagues in the central Philippine islands called the Visayas. Or you might want to decipher what moved the GMEA 2015 judges to select the nine winning entries and thus perhaps pick some pointers.
Whatever. Share with us your thoughts in the comments section below after going through the entries. Cheers!
