Startup Weekend Davao announced its prize package this weekend which includes a trip to Boracay for 3 winners!
Startup Weekend makes its 2nd run in Davao starting Friday August 9 to August 11 from the Ingenuity Headquarters, located in 1.18 Centron Building, Quirino Avenue, within the city.
Davao City natives and startup advocates Dulce Rose Lada, CEO and co-founder of Crea8tech Solutions, Bert Barriga, Executive Vice President of ICT Davao, Inc., John Naranjo, CEO and Founder of Ingenuity, Tom Secuya, CEO and Founder of Carve, Andrew dela Serna, CFO of Crea8tech Solutions, Inc., and PicLyf, Gay Anne Viray, LVA – Trainer at MyOutdesk.com and Angel Abella, Marketing Assistant at
eMarketingDoctor.com, are all organizing the event.
Started in Seattle, Washington, Startup Weekend is a grassroots movement to build startups in cities around the world. The weekend entails entrepreneurs gathering to pitch ideas and teams forming organically around the best ideas. Those teams then pitch their idea to a group of local entrepreneurial leaders.
In Davao City, the top 3 winners will fly to Boracay to attend the much-awaited IT conference this year, “Geeks on a Beach” (http://www.geeksonabeach.com/), and will receive $250 worth of virtual staff vouchers, courtesy of Freelancer.ph (http://www.freelancer.ph/).
All top winners will get Globe Tattoo Sticks, all topped-up with prepaid load (http://tattoo.globe.com.ph/). Early birds will receive limited edition Google swag packs (courtesy of GBG Davao (http://gplus.to/GBGDavao) and GDG Davao (http://gplus.to/GDGDavao).
