Supertyphoon Yolanda, internationally known as Haiyan and the biggest storm to ever hit the world in recorded history, carved a wide path of devastation across central Philippines last November 8, 2013. Immediately, the world came to help us.

PRworks Inc., a public relations agency based in Cebu City in central Philippines, had been active in facilitating the relief and rehabilitation efforts of local non-government organizations like Balay Mindanaw and their foreign partners, corporate clients like Globe Telecom, 2GO Group, and AirAsia Zest, and local networks of well-meaning citizens like Bangon SugBohol.

1. Students in Cebu help in the repacking of relief goods.
MEMBERS of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines – Cebu Council and students of Ateneo de Cebu lend their hands in the repackaging of relief goods from the Russian Federation. The Russian donations were facilitated by honorary Russian consul Armi Lopez-Garcia.Students of the Talisay Malayan Academy in Talisay City, Cebu repack relief goods that were later sent via a 2GO ship to Ormoc City in Leyte. Balay Mindanaw, a non-government organization, took care of the distribution in Leyte. PRworks Inc. helped in establishing the relief network.Each relief pack prepared for the areas handled by Balay Mindanaw in Ormoc City contained not only food items but also items for washing clothes, personal hygiene, mosquito nets, plates, and utensils. Among the storage places used was the driveway of the Mongaya residence in Talisay City, Cebu. Doris and Anol Mongaya are the key movers of PRWorks Inc.
2. The Russian Federation.
TONS of assorted canned meat and canned fish from Russia were unpacked from their boxes and neatly stacked prior to the repackaging of the relief goods for the typhoon-ravaged residents in Cebu and Leyte provinces.
3. Volunteers from Oriental Port and Arrastre Services Corp. (Opascor).
Aside from their own relief operations, Opascor sent volunteers to help PRworks and partners during the loading and unloading of relief goods.
4. Volunteer doctors from Germany.

5. 2GO Group
From its immediate response when a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit Bohol in September 2013, 2GO Travel immediately expanded its relief assistance operations after Super typhoon Yolanda carved a huge path of devastation on Nov. 8, 2013.
6. Balay Mindanao
An NGO partners of PRworks Inc. starting with our relief assistance for journalists affected by Typhoon Sendong in Cagayan de Oro in December 2011.
7. AirAsia Zest

Macht, who is known as Harvey Specter in the popular television series, went to typhoon-hit Ormoc City in Leyte province with Globe Telecom executives to help in the rehabilitation efforts.
